Waylon Silva

BS Exercise Science and Kinesiology, NASM CPT

Waylon, born and raised on Kauai, graduated Western Oregon University with a BS in Exercise Sports Science. He worked at Oregon State University as an Adapted Physical Activity Coach, focusing on a motor skills fitness program for children with special needs. He also worked as a Corrective Exercise Technician at IndigoWellness Center, applying his personal training techniques for yoga practitioners and Scholarship athletes. After returning home to Kauai, he worked as a Physical Therapy Technician for 3years at an outpatient clinic while simultaneously coaching youth sports and working 1 on 1 with clients around nutritional education and fitness performance. On his off time, Waylon spends time with family. If he’s not chasing around his nieces and nephews, he’s hiking a trail in Kokee, riding dirt bikes in Anahola or having a nice R&R day on the Southside.

Katie O'brien

NASM CPT 

Katie is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a graduate of the National Personal Training Institute where she received hands-on practical experience learning valuable skills in exercise science.

Her passion for fitness started at a very young age discovering her mom’s Richard Simmons workout videos then progressed to taking weightlifting classes in high school and college.
Katie is a compassionate, patient, and understanding person that knows firsthand the struggles of weight loss and body image issues being that she herself has also had her own weight loss journey rollercoaster ride. 
Taking her own personal experience and education she wants to help people from all walks of life to move better, feel stronger, and be healthier versions of themselves by providing individualized workout programs specific to each person focusing on proper form and technique while also addressing any movement compensations and imbalances one may have.
In her free time, she likes to spend time with her adorable dogs at the beach, camping and catching up on some reading.

Natalie is a ‘movement enthusiast’ and a Certified Personal Trainer and group fitness instructor. She employs a holistic, integrated approach to fitness by incorporating an arsenal of strategies to build lean, strong, functional bodies. She helps her clients embrace and live a healthy, active life with a body that supports all of their unique endeavors and adventures. Heather grew up on the island of Kauai, immersed in a healthy and active lifestyle, enjoying hiking, surfing, and competitive swimming and running. Later, she moved off the island to earn her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Sports Psychology from Western Washington University. Heather also competed as a High Jumper on Western’s DII track and field team throughout her college career. Her lifestyle, studies, and athletics inspired her interest in personal training, so she became fully certified through the American Council of Exercise. 

Heather is passionate about sparking joy in others’ lives through movement. Her approach to fitness is rooted in functional movement patterns that nourish both the mind and body and cultivate feelings of inner and outer strength and confidence. She will provide you with training programs tailored to your unique goals that honor the development of biomechanical efficiency so that you can achieve long-term health, functioning, and strength through the movements you enjoy.

 

Janelle Papa

Janelle found her passion for fitness during her freshman year at college. A few years later she devoted her time to compete in several NPC bodybuilding bikini competitions. Eventually her patience and dedication resulted in her being nationally qualified. She further pursued her love for health and wellness by becoming a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Science Medicine. During her free time she enjoys spoiling her dog, Chewy, and spending time outdoors hiking and going to the beach. She believes in creating healthy, sustainable habits to reach your health and wellness goals.

Chris Cooke

With a lifelong love of sports, an integral desire to help people, and a passion for bodybuilding, Chris offers an all inclusive, fully immersive, and logically natured approach to fitness and wellbeing. As a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, Chris utilizes an approach that is backed by peer reviewed science and personal experience that can be tailored to assist the competitive athlete achieve game/stage readiness or aid the everyday office worker to better protect against postural imbalances from sitting at a desk for multiple hours. Chris helps clients break down barriers to fitness goals by utilizing an intuitive approach that highlights the knowledge clients already posses, while incorporating easily understandable scientific concepts.

Marlon will educate and guide you along the way, help you develop good gym habits, teach you how your body works, proper form and the mind set you need to be successful.

Hailey Peacock

NASM CPT, NASM CERTIFIED NUTRITION COACH

Hailey Peacock, a North Carolina native, played soccer at the competitive level for over 10 years until a knee injury prevented her from continuing the sport at the collegiate level. After nearly a year of physical therapy and rehabilitation, she regained her strength and momentum and began her weight training journey while attending UNC-Chapel Hill. Weightlifting, interval training, and intramural sports became a part of her day-to-day life as she pursued a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy.

She graduated in May of 2018 and continued to follow her dreams by moving to Kauai. Hailey loves to challenge herself and others to be the best that they can be, and with her love for physical activity, her decision to pursue a career in personal training was without hesitation. When she isn’t training herself or others at Kauai Athletic Club, she spends most of her time outdoors. She enjoys going on hikes and bike rides, camping with family and friends, and spending time in the saltwater. Donovan Miyasato is a NASM certified personal trainer, originally from Kauai and currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communication and family studies at Utah Tech University, his goal is to help you attain your fitness goals. He specializes in bodybuilding as well as functional fitness, weight loss, and muscle building. Although he specializes in bodybuilding, Donovan also believes that working out isn’t just for our appearances or gaining strength; it’s a place to escape the pressures of the outside world and build connections with others who are likeminded.

Carlie Lindsey

Born and raised on Kaua’i, Carlie has long been immersed in what it’s like to lead an active lifestyle. She dabbled in team sports throughout her childhood but eventually found her true calling in the form of Olympic weightlifting. After doing a year-long test run in CrossFit, she decided to solely gear her focus toward perfecting the necessary components needed in weightlifting: speed, strength, and technique.

Her mission of perfecting different areas of fitness isn’t just a personal endeavor, as she also seeks to perfect fitness in the lives of others. She has the ability and experience to teach, spot, and correct even the most intricate of movements found within the fitness world. In addition, she is able to choose and apply these movements accordingly depending on the individual and their goals. 

From a personal and professional approach, Carlie seeks to enhance overall performance with aesthetics coming as a byproduct of the process. Although everyone has their own set of goals, Carlie has an arsenal of tools to help you reach them, regardless of what they are.
