Gym Etiquette & Policies
To maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for everyone, Kaua’i Athletic Club has established Club Rules that all members and guests are expected to follow. These Rules are designed to protect the health, safety, and experience of our community. Members must comply with these Rules as well as any additional signage or staff instructions posted throughout the facilities.
Kaua’i Athletic Club reserves the right to modify the Club Rules at any time, without prior notice. Members are responsible for staying informed and adhering to the most current version. In the event of a conflict between these Rules and any other posted guidelines, the Club Rules will take precedence.
Conflicts Regarding Use:
Please don’t linger on the equipment because other members may want to use it. No member should monopolize the equipment or weights. Gym etiquette is key to a successful workout environment. In case of any conflicts, kindly seek assistance from the management at Kauai Athletic Club.
Availability of Facilities:
Kauai Athletic Club retains the right to restrict the operational hours or terminate any facilities or services, including classes and equipment, without prior notice.
Weights & Other Equipment:
To ensure a safe and pleasant workout environment for all members, the following rules are to be observed when using weights and other equipment in Kauai Athletic Club facilities:
Please return weights to their designated rack after use. This will help prevent tripping hazards and e
nsure that other members have access to the equipment.
Wipe off any benches or equipment after your use. This will help maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards for all members.

Kauai Athletic Club offers lockers exclusively for use by members while they are working out at the gym. To ensure the safety of your belongings, it is recommended that you use a lock. Please refrain from leaving any valuable items in the lockers at any time. Kauai Athletic Club is not liable for any loss or damage to your property. If you leave your lock on a locker while not using the gym, the club reserves the right to cut it off. Any belongings left behind may be donated to a charitable organization at the discretion of Kauai Athletic Club.
No Alcohol, Drugs, or Smoking: Kauai Athletic Club prohibits engaging in any activity while under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol. Smoking, alcohol, and illegal drugs, including steroids, are not allowed in any of its facilities.
No Weapons: Kauai Athletic Club strictly prohibits bringing any type of weapon to its facilities.
Photos/Filming: Taking photos or filming of others without their prior consent is not allowed, and no photography or filming is permitted within the locker rooms under any circumstances.
Food & Beverages: Kauai Athletic Club may limit the consumption of food or beverages in workout areas.
Personal Training: Members cannot train others for compensation, and doing so may result in the termination of their membership.
Outside Equipment: Kauai Athletic Club reserves the right to limit or restrict the use of outside equipment within its facilities.
KAC has a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate conduct within its facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of loud, abusive, offensive, insulting, demeaning language, profanity, lewd conduct or any form of harassment or disturbance towards fellow members, guests or Kauai Athletic Club employees. Such behavior is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated at any time while on Kauai Athletic Club premises.
Clean closed-toe athletic shoes are required at all times. No slippers, crocs, or socks. If you need to be ‘grounded’ while lifting, we suggest weightlifting-specific shoes. Failure to comply with this policy may result in the denial of access to Kauai Athletic Club facilities. Kauai Athletic Club reserves the right to enforce this policy to ensure the safety and comfort of all visitors.
Kauai Athletic Club has a strict policy regarding the violation of its Policies and Rules by any member or guest. In the event of such a violation, Kauai Athletic Club reserves the right to ask the individual to immediately cease the activity or leave the premises.
Furthermore, if a member violates any of the Policies or Rules, Kauai Athletic Club, in its sole discretion, may terminate the individual’s membership and/or any other agreements with the club.
All members and guests are expected to comply with the Policies and Rules set forth by Kauai Athletic Club in order to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
